Adventureland |
No
injuries reported due to riders with pre-existing conditions.
Interesting to note 3 of the riders who contacted us did not know,
nor were given information on who to report ride safety
issues/questions when they asked at the park. With one saying, "they
did not know or maybe didn't want to tell me."
|
Beechbend |
Back injuries, again, were all related
to sitting in the back of the roller coaster train. The back
of the train does offer a more intense ride. More than the
front or the middle of the coaster train as evident by the
back injuries sustained. |
Belmont Park |
3 of the 4 of the riders who sustained
back related injury on this roller coaster did so even after
knowing they had previous back related issues. Safety signs
were not the issue here -- consumers ignoring them appears
to be an issue. |
Buffalo
Bills |
Riders who
sustained burns on this ride have attributed it to seats that had been
previously empty from various ride cycles. Those burns occurred to under part of
upper legs. |
Busch
Gardens - Tampa |
33 disproven
injuries, all due to not properly hydrating:
-
Leg cramps
-
Blacking
out
-
Migraines
|
Busch
Gardens - Williamsburg |
|
California's
Great America |
|
Canada's
Wonderland |
Incidents that were disproven involved
riders blacking out due to heat/dehydration related issues
that were the cause of not properly hydrating. These
incidents occurred to guests who waited in long lines to
ride the new Leviathan roller coaster in the middle of
summer. |

Carowinds |
What we're most
happy about is the drop coupled with the amount of employee participation we
received in 2012. 22 injuries disproven, goes a long way in educating the park
employee on what guests are doing wrong. To those park employees -- thank you! |

With regard to Mind Eraser and
Boomerang, we can only offer this advice. Skip them, save
yourself the trouble. In fact, one consumer who contacted us
about the park put it best, "don't go, save your money." |

There were some 20+ injuries on
Intimidator, however, we found that they resulted due to
rider heat related issues.

Lake Compounce |
2 of the 5 injuries were due to riders
with pre-existing conditions. One of a few parks that saw a
drop in significant injuries. |
Legoland
- California |
One of the harder parks to get
information on. However we were able to obtain more
information on rides at this park and look forward to
working with our in-park contributors. |

7 of the 19 injuries were due to
riders with pre-existing conditions. 3 of those riders, who
rode Shivering Timbers, said they should not have been on
the ride.
